Mera Ghar – NET convened a strategic dialogue with Ms. Saima Jasam, Executive Director of Roshan Development Foundation (RDF), to explore meaningful avenues for collaboration and strengthen collective efforts towards more inclusive, resilient and peaceful communities.

The dialogue explored potential joint initiatives supporting Gender-Based Violence (GBV) survivors and transgender individuals, with a focus on skills development, economic empowerment and pathways towards sustainable livelihoods. Both organisations discussed opportunities for exchanging technical expertise, training resources and practical knowledge to strengthen institutional capacity and expand opportunities for communities facing social and economic exclusion.

The conversation also addressed the challenges confronting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the role of community-based interventions in advancing protection, dignity and resilience. Particular attention was given to peacebuilding, the prevention of violent extremism, meaningful youth engagement and skills development as important pathways towards constructive participation and stronger social cohesion.

The discussion further highlighted the experiences and needs of women from religious minority communities, recognising the importance of inclusive approaches that promote access to protection, opportunity, dignity and equal participation.
