Mera Ghar – NET held a strategic meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing shelter services at Mera Ghar – NET. The discussion focused on strengthening safe, dignified, confidential and protection-centred services for women, girls and children.

The meeting included a detailed discussion on SOP compliance and implementation, with Mera Ghar – NET sharing its existing Shelter Home SOPs with UNHCR for review and technical input. The exchange explored alignment with established humanitarian and protection standards, identified areas for further strengthening, and discussed practical measures to enhance consistency, accountability and quality in shelter operations.

The engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to professional, survivor-centred and accountable protection services.
